’Twas the night before Christmas in our drafty old house
No one could get warm (especially my spouse.)
The wood stove was roaring, but so was the wind,
It howled at the windows, finding cracks to blow in.
The family was nestled all snug in our beds,
While visions of slippers danced ‘round in our heads. Something to take the chill out of our toes
When the snowstorm is on and the winter wind blows.
Something cozy and warm, ‘cause our feet were like ice!
Something with sheepskin would really be nice...
Because it was Christmas, we thought of St. Nick,
A new pair of slippers would do just the trick!
Lucky for us, we had been very good,
Because Santa came through (as we knew that he would!) The next day, we awoke and felt so much more chipper
When we unwrapped and tried on new MerinoMood slippers!
They were textured and plush, classic slip-on in style,
The soft sheepskin comfort made all of us smile.
With “His and Hers” sizes and thick shearling lining,
We felt extra cozy on the sofa, reclining. We knew these new slippers would keep our feet warm
Through the darkest of nights and the coldest of storms.
And as I settled down for a long winter’s nap,
With a book in my hand and a cat on my lap,
We heard Santa exclaim, ere he drove out of sight:
