About the Design
Nibi is the Ojibway word for ''Water''. Star Quilts have been used for many generations among various Nations as gifts of honour and protection. The Star Quilt design symbolizes our connection to the Universe and beyond. The artist, Nikki Shawana has incorporated the Star Quilt design as a tribute to her Nancy-baa (grandmother) , as well as Haudenosaunee SkyDome designs to honour Mohawk designs and florals to honour her own Anishinaabe ancestry.
Material and Care
This warm and luxurious blanket is made with recycled fabric, and is a mix of acrylic and wool and backed with lush sherpa for extra warmth and thickness. Super soft wool/ acrylic blend reverses to cozy 100 % poly sherpa.
